Fallout nv ini file
If this is a bug & is currently being fixed, I'll wait until it's fixed. If there is any possible fix, I'd be grateful if someone could tell me what it is. Downloaded & installed the latest JIP LN NVSE. Ran the 3.2 Main Installer, then 3.2.1, & then 3.2.2, all three had the correct file paths set. Copied the contents of TTW & its two updates to Steam > steamapps > common > Fallout New Vegas. Ran both Fallout 3 & Fallout New Vegas, letting it generate the settings for my PC, & closed both. Performed a clean uninstall of Fallout New Vegas & then reinstalled it. Downloaded the latest TTW & its two updates.

There was only ones for Mod Organizer & one that mentioned some folder with a green arrow, which is far too vague. My fallout.ini keeps resetting to vanilla when i start nvse through MO2 even though i set the file to read only, but my FalloutPrefs.ini stays the same.
I have looked on other websites & this one in order to find a fix. No matter what I do, FalloutCustom.ini will not appear in my Fallout New Vegas folder under My Games, which I believe is what's the cause of a missing meshes problem I'm having with the Reflect-O-Tron & many exterior world objects. Rumor has it that the proper file to edit is the "Fallout_default.ini" under "steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\", at least if you use the launcher from Steam (or via the shortcut that Steam creates).I have a problem. And when the Steam Cloud is re-enabled, it's going to throw yet another INI file into the mix.
Well, that depends on whether you run the FONV launcher when you startup Fallout New Vegas or not. Then there's the (2) INI files in your My Documents\My Games:Ĭ:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\My Games\FalloutNVĬan't edit Fallout.ini Keeps getting replaced, preventing performance tweaks Some people have an INI file in the following Steam folder as well (apparently part of Steam Cloud, which is currently disabled for Fallout New Vegas):Ĭ:\Program Files\Steam\userdata\#\remote\
DoubleYous post includes all the valid entries for the Fallout.ini and. Users who want more details on the entries in the Fallout.ini and FalloutPrefs.ini files should read at least the first three sections of the Skyrim INI Guide and DoubleYous forum thread on valid Fallout 3 INI settings. For instance there are:Ĭ:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\ This guide is intended to be comprehensive, and includes all INI tweaks recommended for Fallout 3. There are half a dozen INI files in the steamapp folder tree for FO:NV. Looks like Steam was added to Fallout New Vegas late in development.
